Research to create a test kit to measure calcium concentration | Science Club HCM city 2023-2024
Developed a simple and reliable test kit (with a confidence interval of 99%) that monitors calcium concentration to inform aquarists or people living near water bodies concentrated with calcium.
Applied the concept of complexometric titration and knowledge in acid-base indicators to produce the chemicals for the test kit, which consists of a buffer solution, a complexometric indicator that binds to the calcium ions for the first color change, and an organic acid to displace the calcium ions from the indicator-ion complex for the end-point color change.
Applied molar equations to determine the relationship between the number of drops of the carboxylic acid and the concentration of calcium.
Research on the synthesis of NaYF4 : Y3+,ER3+ Nanomaterial for labeling LU-1 Lung Cancer Cells | International Young Researcher's Conference -Tokyo,Japan www.iyrc.org 2023
Synthesized an upconversion nanomaterial via the wet chemistry method that is coated in silica and bound to a folate group for fluorescent labeling of Lu-1 cancer cells.
Analyze the finished product using a field emission electron microscope, infrared spectrum analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis, fluorescence spectrum analysis, and the results of the product incubated with Lu-1 lung cancer cells (which shows clear luminescent dots on the surface after 3 hours).
Presented the research at the 8th International Young Researchers’ Conference in the fall of 2023.
